Christmas Day all early at Duxton Hill!
The ladies behind Group Therapy have been tempting me so with brunch call outs via their regular facebook updates. Even after the last futile attempt on a weekday evening, I promise to return soon enough. Christmas Day brunch was a legitimate excuse since the affable ladies promised "brunch, longweekend and christmas" all over brunch.
Earlybirds.
Their doors swing open at 9 for brunch which works perfect for earlybirds like myself. Just in time for a hearty meal after the morning activities.

GT folks brought in a range of beers and champagne to spread some festive love but I was not up for it - great pity!
Toasted Hazelnut Latte ($6.50)
An absolute festive drink...yum!
Christmas Plate ($24)
This required a 20 minute wait. I reckoned this was their interpretation of the must-eats for this festive season - which I completely agree. Turkey and ham are the common suspects.
Casually plated, I was bestowed the best part of the Turkey - drumstick for being the first customer to order it.
Initially put off by its raw pinkness, they were kind enough to regrill them for me. Tender juicy turkey meat with a yummy drizzle of sauces.
This came with a saucer of cranberry sauce - very homemade indeed! Thick slices of mildly salty ham makes this all the more hearty. No, the wholesomeness does not end there - butter mashed potatoes with ham bits and ratatouille makes breakfast ho-ho-ho-hearty.
Would not say this is the bestest christmas breakfast ever consumed but it was good.

Croque Madame ($17)
Until today I have not sorted out the difference between madame and monsieur though linguistically it is a lady and a gentleman. So this lady comes with an extra sunny side up egg slapped onto chewy toasts sandwiching cheese and ham. I wish the bread would be harder but this was fingerlicking really delish! Comes with their regular sides of couscous and chips.
4 Layer Carrot Cake ($8.50)
Charmed over and over and over again, I cannot say how awesome this is, enough. Made yet another convert for this, hooray! It should have been cranberry pumpkin pie for the festive mood but I caved in on this still. No regrets.
Once again, Group Therapy has wowed. Once, Twice, Thrice. No need for anymore flattery, brunch and lunch conquered! Probably their special oyster or booze nights next!
