Bornga Revisited @ City Square

I love my korean food and having enjoyed lunch previously, a return was a must. Bornga at City Square, headed by a Korean owner, is as authentic as it can get though online reviews suggest serviec levels are declining. I found service acceptable though language barrier did get in the way with some of the non chinese staff.

The assortment of banchan done korean style, I enjoyed kimchi, yellow beans and spinach best.  Their ala carte menu is strangely limited and most of it is dedicated to barbecued meats and the number of cooking stations far exceed those of the non-cooking ones.

Seafood Pancake (RM 38)

An omelette more than pancake with flour clearly missing from the ingredients but I am not complaining, particularly with such a generous serving of seafood!

Beef Kimchi Soup (RM 30)

Ramen would have made this complete, and if not for the fact that we had glass noodles in the hot pot, I'd gladly have ordered a side to go with it.

Bornga Bulgogi (RM 75)

I love korean hotpots for the reason there is ample meat and a ton of tasty but not so healthy ingredients that makes it so delicious.

Bornga's Bulgogi pot had sliced beef, glass noodles, onions and a hearty broth which made this very filling.

Dolsot Bimbimbap (RM 24)

This needed additional dashes of gochuljang sauce, otherwise it was a hearty course of mixed vegetables and meat with rice.

Super satisfying and we ended up with our bellies full and our pockets lighter. Bornga is worth seconds and barbecue's definitely on the agenda next!
